It is fairly evident from reading comments in this Community Whoop 5/MG is not performing well. Teething problems are to be expected but seems to me this is more than that. The fact that many Whoop 4 Users are voicing concerns speaks volumes.
Most common 5/MG problems I am seeing.
-HR inaccuracies
-Band placement is too critical.
-Crazy HR spikes when Showering, Washing a bike, Sitting still
-HRV spikes causing unreliable recovery
-Fading bands
-Whoop 4 bands do not fit 5
-ECG/EKG not working
-Missing Subscriptions
-Subscription there but not Peak or Life
-Step inaccuracies
-Steps too important to Whoop Age/Pacing of Aging
-Once paid up you cannot get a refund, you have to finish off the year
-Off body notification when wearing
-Not charging or will not connect to the app
-Moving more to a health device rather than a sports orientated one
-Start an activity and it doesn’t show the heart rate or strain on the live app.
-No longer get sleep notifications in the morning
-Inaccurate strain for certain activities.
-App showing incorrect date, as in yesterday.
Whilst Whoop staff on here are very helpful and I appreciate what they are doing they too must also see what we are seeing on their own devices and in these posts. What I feel is disappointing is nothing has come from Whoop acknowledging the problems and a promise/strategy to resolve.
I hope they are reading this and are at some point prepared to make a statement.
Seems clear Will Ahmed and Kristen Holmes aren’t on here I tried @ them. They are out hyping the product while clearly it has issues and accuracy problems making it questionable as a tool.
My frustrations today are beyond comprehension. Whoop HR is just pitiful. How do we get whoop to listen and fix or refund. There is something seriously wrong with the 5/MG be it software or hardware. They better hope it’s software but I personally think it’s hardware.
Regarding your refund request, our policy allows for cancellations and refunds within 30 days of the initial order. Since this request falls outside of that period, we’re unfortunately unable to make an exception.
My reply:
Let me adjust that for you:

So the + is I now have 2 more months of bad data I can’t relay on as the tool it’s advertised to be.
Apparently you don’t go on your own forums…. Clearly this is an issue for many.
Seems we will all just have to share the experiences w/ our own communities in our gyms, on our own socials and in our friends groups so others don’t fall for all marketing and poor product experience / CS that’s lacking.
Dude . Its been a nightmare. I’ll add a few more for you!
Start an activity and it doesnt show the heart rate or strain on the live app. When you stop the activity it logs all the data.
1I no longer get my sleep notifications in the morning or it doesnt stop logging my sleep. Everyday now I have to log into the app to stop my sleep tracking.
Inaccurate strain for certain activities. One day I can do a fairly basic 5km run and have a train of 15, next I can do a threshold run and have a strain of 9!
Also seeing some weird metrics on the Whoop 5MG. Having been a user since 3.0, I have never had such issues like this…This is the same workout recorded with Whoop vs Peloton Tread +Apple Watch. BPM seems to record really high on the Whoop when I ramp up the speed. (humour me, I am a slow runner). It also seems to drop back down much faster too. Lover HRM zones it sees to be fine. I logged a ticket 2 days ago, was told to reboot/reconnect. Then this stats were recorded after that. I also seemed to get a firmware update today, not sure if that’s a mass rollout or as a result of my call. I have just sent this data into them, I will report back anything of note.
Wow!! Mine feels like nothing in comparison. Interestingly, my firmware update seems to be newer that the one they have posted on the website. 50.33.2.0
Lets keep this Thread going. The more people that point the problems the bigger chance Whoop will react to it. My HR was doing well until yesterday when I moved to Bicep. Interesting there is a firmware update. Wonder if they broke something.. Just checked mine and says no new firmware available but I an at 50.32.1.0 a log way off yours. Being on different versions makes no sense..
The truth is that they know that everything is off. They just deny it and keep telling people that the sensor is not tight enough. Nothing is done about it. It’s just not the main focus. They keep on working on streak, steps, useless badges to come soon and other kindergarten features.
Whoop IS TOTALLY USELESS FOR ANYONE WHO IS SERIOUS ABOUT TRAINING!!!
See what I can do legally to get money back. It just doesn’t feel right to pay for a device that doesn’t deliver since months. I’m not saying I want a doctor on my wrist/bicep (like an elite athlete stated ) but I expect the data to be at least decent.
I also noticed that issues that aren’t metric related are treated within a few days whereas hr related or data related issues either don’t see a reply here at all or users are told the fitting loose thing.
Surely they have to start listening soon. This community shows Whoop 5/MG has been a disaster. I hardly ever read anything positive. They should offer refunds for those that want them..
I think the positive comments don’t make it here because if it works then I am content to keep using it and don’t feel the need to share how well its worked without issues.
