Unexplainable Spike in HRV destroys my recovery scores

My HRV spiked for a couple of days to over 120. Since then the app is telling me every day to recover and I have more red scores than ever before. I have seen many posts in which users complain about the same issue with the Whoop 5.0. It seems that Whoop is going backwards and it less reliable than before. Could someone please reach out to get this fixed? I was usually excited to look at my stats in the app. These days I don’t care anymore as all the data seems to be wrong.

Look at my post about the exact same subject. It’s long so get settled in. They are at least aware of the issues.

I also think whoop under reports HRV. Mine is low normally late 20s early 30s according to Garmin. Whoop has me at 20 and as low as 13 (except the days I hit the 160s) Smaller, thinner, lighter really has worked out well for them. Seems to me that the Whoop 5/MG is easily affected by movements and vibrations.

I don’t have a benchmark, mine is around high 20s. It will be interesting to see what other tools will be available in the future. Pretty sure I won’t stick with Whoop. It’s a shame, I had it for the last 5 years , but everything went sour with the Whoop 5.0 (first delay and then the release where they wanted to charge the upgrade fee).

That is a shame, I got the MG for ECG/EKG and BP monitoring. Says it needs to be on the wrist. I just put it on my Bicep and was surprised ECG/EKG worked. Will find out tomorrow if BP monitoring works. I’ll be interested in the results with the different location.

And again, HRV is all over the place. From 113 to 26 back to 69 and 83. @evanatwhoop Could your team look into this? At this point I cannot wait till my subscription will expire and I can give the Whoop back.

They will promise to look into it but in the end nothing will be done! Same with heart rate issues that are known for a long time.
