Over the past two nights, my sleep has not been automatically detected by WHOOP. I had to manually add the sleep session, yet the app still remains stuck on “Sleep Pending” and no sleep score, recovery, or HRV is generated.
I have already tried the following:
Tightened the strap
Worn the strap higher on the arm
Confirmed the sensor is working (stress monitor and HR data updating)
Exactly the same issue happened to me. I have even changed the device since yesterday after being stuck without sleep data and the rest. I have twice received the firmware update but seems like during night data is not being synchronized due to bluetooth failure or wifi or LTE issue not sure to be honest. Don’t know what to expect for today…
I have the same issue. It says data catching up for hours and then it doesn’t show any sleep data or Any health metrics. It’s been like this for 3 days
same issue, sleep data was not captured for few nights, first it started missing 2 - 3 hours of data and then 2 days back , missed the entire sleep - contacted support , unpaired the device to pair again and it simply doesn’t pair, the device is not even detected. went through several emails with support team, it seems like many people are having the same issue. no estimated time given for resolution either. waiting now to hear back and will update here
Hi there! At your earliest convenience, please update your WHOOP to the latest firmware version (50.36.1.0). You should see these issues resolved once this has been done. For any further questions or concerns, please reach out to our support team via email at support@whoop.com!
This issue is due to Whoop + firmware issue. Whoop stopped analysing data for existing firmware before they ensure we receive the new firmware, which is being rolled out in phases. As a result, I unfortunately lost 2.5 days of data during the process.
My MG suddenly stopped working on March 4th. The connection dropped during the day and after that the device stopped recording data completely. As a result I lost about 2 days of data.
Luckily I still had my WHOOP 5.0, so I switched to it the same evening. That night the 5.0 also failed to record sleep, but in the morning it started a firmware update and began working normally again. Since then the 5.0 has been stable.
However the MG is still unusable.
Current behavior of the MG:
the device charges normally
it appears in Bluetooth
the WHOOP app can see it
but it never enters pairing mode
no blue LED appears at all, no matter how many times I tap the device
I followed all the troubleshooting steps from WHOOP Support:
the app is updated to the latest version (5.42.0)
the device was removed from Bluetooth
the phone was restarted
I tried the tapping procedure for pairing mode multiple times
the device has been fully charged
Still no pairing mode and no LEDs.
I also sent WHOOP Support a video showing the issue.
Right now I’m communicating with support, but they respond about once per day, so the process is moving quite slowly. So far the MG still cannot be paired.
I have had the same issue for the past several nights. I’m pretty sure it started right after the last update. No sleep detected and therefore no recovery. When I manually add in sleep, it calculates everything else. Firmware is up to date. When I selected reboot device, nothing happens. I restarted the app and I thought it worked one night, but then none again today. I sent a note through the app and it said it was notifying the humans, but I see no record of that. I just sent a note through the web site. Not a new device. User for years. Would love a solution. Manual entry is the opposite of why we wear Whoop.
I had this issue. Sleep would not process. I had to look back at my stress monitor. It had detected a nap that never happened and would not process it, turned off all my metrics. Deleting the nap didn’t work because it kept coming back. I was able to fix it by manually keying in an activity overlapping the nap/sleep time. It popped up a notification saying there was an overlapping activity, and then everything went back to normal. Maybe this will work for someone else.
