Is anyone’s whoop 5.0 draining their phones battery life? The new update is causing my iPhone to use double the amount of battery as it used to. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Yes mine is absolutely killing my phone battery. In the past 24hr it says the Whoop app has been using 45% of my battery. I am trying to get some answers as well.

+1. My Whoop 5.0 MG drains my iPhone 15 Pro from 100% to 5% in 10 hours, respresenting 31% of the battery drain. That’s at least 3x as much as before.

Yes, I switched to the 5.0 yesterday. My phone iPhone 15 went from 80% charged and in 5 hours it was 4%. While I was sleeping.

Same whoop using 25% of my battery for only 10min of screentime

Identical issue with the iphone 16 pro max. Wasn’t a problem before.
For what it’s worth I went to the app under iphone settings. Then under the live activities section, i turned off both “Allow Live Activities” and “More Frequent Updates”. No clue if this was turned on before but going to try that out
Keeping background refresh on for now

Joined the Whoop family 3 days ago and on Android, S23 latest FW, same behavior.

Same here! 45-55% battery usage draining battery on background activity :exploding_head: would be great to get a quick fix Whoop :grin: just upgraded to the MG and love the new features but this is not great :see_no_evil_monkey:

Same for me, I tried to update firmware, restart Whoop, restart App and the battery consumption of Whoop app is 43%.

I have the same issue. iPhone 15 pro using iOS 18.5 and my phone battery is draining fast. The app will complain if you close it out (via notification).

The background activity is a bit ridiculous.

Please fix this, I can’t be chained to a charger all day. Kind of defeats the purpose of whoop.

Same issue here, using Whoop 5.0 and IPhone 14 Pro Max. Drains my iPhone battery extremely fast, it even gets warm. I have to close the app every time I have used it.

Yes same here. iPhone 16 pro max normally at 80%at end of day, now down to 8% last three nights after upgrading to whoop mg. Battery useage saying 20% applied to whoop but it must be higher.

SAME! Fix this bug! The 5.0 mg is great but this needs to get resolved

My battery literally dies in a matter of hours ever since I upgraded to the MG. I did not have this issue with the 4.0.

Same issue. Need to take a charger with me everywhere.
