Thanks for getting back to us here at WHOOP support and providing these screenshots!
It looks like you’ve encountered a bug, and we’ve passed the details along to our engineering team. While we don’t have a timeline for a fix, keeping your app and firmware up to date will help ensure you receive any improvements once they’re released. We know how disruptive this can be and really appreciate your patience while we work to get things back on track.
In the meantime, we advise you to clear both the phone and app’s cookies and cache. This seems to help reduce the battery drain rate. Since your report has been logged, we’ll close this case.
Please let us know if you have any questions or if there’s anything else we can do to help!
I am experiencing the same behavior after switching to the Whoop MG! It accounted for 44% of my battery drain over the last few days. This is a major problem! Any idea how to fix yet? My whoop 4.0 used 3-4%
Hi everyone, member of the WHOOP engineering team here. We have released a new firmware for your straps for those of you that have commented. The new version is 50.30.4.0, after installation you can confirm your version on the device settings page under advanced. The firmware has some optimizations that should reduce the amount of work your phones need to do. We appreciate everyone’s input on the issue and don’t hesitate to let us know if after updating it improves your phone battery performance. We appreciate any and all feedback.
I’ve been having the battery issue as well (I’ve emailed support). I just updated to latest firmware and it is 50.30.3.0. Can’t see a 50.30.4.0 though?
The Whoop app is taking 39% of my battery on my iPhone 16 Pro Plus. I have to basically keep it on the charger if I’m sitting at work, otherwise my phone will die before I get home at night.
