No streak flame ever?

Hi whoop folks and folx,

I submitted a bug ticket today but wanted to post here as well cause it’s a weird bug. I only see one other user who had this problem, but the solutions listed didn’t work for me.

My streak flame does not appear (and has never appeared) in the corner by my icon / photo. I checked in my profile page and it shows a current streak of 1100+ days so it’s not a data issue. Could 1100+ be too big for the spot? Does Canada not get this random feature? Just curious. It’s certainly not an app-crashing issue nor something I’m cross about - just curious why I’m alone in this flameless world haha.

I have never seen a flame or anything in that space. Only place I see my streaks is to tap on my profile picture.

I can join you in the flameless world! I’m on a 54 day streak which I can see in my profile, but didn’t realise that some folks see a streak flame beside their photo.

EDIT: I followed the steps detailed in the thread Flame icon with days , but I’m still flameless!

One thing that always puzzles me with Whoop is why things work for some and not others. I have never seen the Flames and have had Whoop since May. They must hide and unlock things based on your Subscription level so perhaps something messed up there. I am on Whoop MG/Life…

I’m using a WHOOP 5.0 on their Peak subscription plan, so that’s two different devices and two different plans between us. I suppose it could be related to regions, but I’d be surprised. Might be just “one of those things!” Hopefully the devs will get to the bottom of it.

It’s just another nail in the coffin for me and Whoop. So many frustrating things since May I just can not see me renewing :frowning:

It sounds like you’re not enjoying the benefits from your whoop but sad to hear this flameless streak is a dealbreaker. For me, just an annoyance to cross off my to-do list. Upset? No. Annoyed? Yea.

Also annoyed with the unprofessional look in the health tab with background ECG screener having the hanging “D” (and no, not in a cheeky way). Annoyed? Yea, upset to cancel? Nah. It’s off my to-do list now. Good luck!

The flame streak is nothing and wouldn’t bother me but it’s the collection of issues.

  1. HR inaccuracies, crazy high spikes, this causes my Strain to be really high on easy bike rides that should be less than 10 but often I am close to 20.

  2. My HRV is low, always has been and confirmed by other devices. I think Whoop is lower around 20 where as Garmin and Amazfit is around 28. My issue though is they use a percentage to determine your recovery, if I drop 2 points when I am on 20 it’s a 10% decrease and whoops says poor recovery because your HRV dropped 10%. If you are at 60 or 70 and drop 2 points it’s negligible. I have been in the red or yellow for months simply because of this. Ironically when I go up 2 points it doesn’t say your HRV increased 10% so you have a great recovery.

  3. There are bunch of other issues that cropped that make me feel Whoop MG was released without enough testing.

This is why I’m down on Whoop, I have had a very poor 5 months experience. I even was lucky enough to have had a personal Video call with the Whoop team and nothing they promised has been done.

Don’t judge me on one comment, search this community and you will see all the issues I have had :frowning:
