Hey @traceyz,

WHOOP keeps track of how much time you spend strength training each week by recognizing any workouts that focus on building strength. This includes sessions you record with the Strength Trainer, as well as other activities like weightlifting, powerlifting, HIIT, barre, and more.

You don’t need to label everything as “Functional Fitness”—any strength-based activity you log will count toward your Strength Activity Time. To make sure your hours are captured correctly:

  • Log your strength workouts in the WHOOP app, either with the Strength Trainer or by choosing the activity type that best fits (like weightlifting or HIIT).

  • WHOOP uses data from your heart rate, accelerometer, and gyroscope to estimate how long and how intense your workouts are.
