Why can’t I change Miles to KMs?

Can you add KMs to the app and let me Pause my workouts !

Hi @The1Thanos, thanks for the question.

1. Miles vs. Kilometers: WHOOP currently displays distance for GPS-tracked activities in miles by default, but there isn’t a way to manually switch to kilometers within the app right now. Many members, especially outside the US, have requested this option! WHOOP is always gathering feedback to help guide feature updates, so it’s a good idea to send that request through the in-app feedback or support channels—the more voices, the better.

2. Pausing Workouts: At the moment, WHOOP doesn’t offer a pause/resume feature for activities while they’re in progress. If you finish a session, you can always edit the start/end time in the app afterward, but you can’t pause and pick back up mid-activity just yet. This is another feature that a lot of members would find useful, so it’s great feedback for the product team!

Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful here. I’ll pass on these notes to the Product team.

How come mine displays in km?!?!?!

Unfortunately, the suggestion to split the Imperial vs Metric displayed units has been ignored for years.

In my opinion, Whoop continues to hate on countries outside of the USA, specifically Canada. It’s typical to use KM for distance but also Lbs for weight, for example. Younger Canadians use a mix of both Ft/in and or Ms for height, but older Canadians almost always use a Ft/in. When chatting with Coach AI, and even when preferences are entered in the “memory”, it defaults to F when talking about the weather whereas younger Canadians will only understand C. In weight-lifting, I’ve worked with PTs who use either kg or lbs in routines.

There’s gotta be a way for Whoop to permit these units to be displayed in a preferred manner, not an “all or none” way.
