WHOOP won’t pair to new iPhone after phone replacement — strap “stuck” on old phone (can’t access old device)

Hey everyone — I just got a replacement iPhone (Apple Store wiped my old phone during a failed update and the eSIM was deleted). My WHOOP strap was previously paired to the old iPhone, which I no longer have access to.

On the new iPhone, I tried pairing but it wouldn’t connect. I then tapped “Forget This Device” in iOS Bluetooth settings, and now though the strap shows up in Bluetooth and connects with my phone, and the WHOOP app can’t connect to it.

Things I’ve tried:

  • Toggling Bluetooth on/off

  • Restarting iPhone

  • Keeping strap close to phone

  • Putting strap on charger briefly to “wake” it

  • Trying to pair from inside the WHOOP app (not just Settings)

Questions:

  1. What’s the correct way to “force unpair” a strap from an old phone I can’t access?

  2. Is there a strap reset / reboot sequence?

    Edit - Resolved

Tap your whoop till the blue light is on and keep tapping till it’s connected.
