Whoop upgrade from retail store

I received a Whoop MG as a gift that was from a retail store. I already have a whoop and active account. Does anyone know if I can add the new whoop and receive the 12 month subscription that was paid for with the new whoop? Don’t want to open it until I know. Thanks

From support: Upgrading with the MG you received will switch you to WHOOP Life right away.
• Your remaining Peak months convert to Life months (3 : 2). The separate 12-month credit packaged with the retail unit won’t stack on top because your account is already active.

So I am going to return my Whoop MG as there is no benefit from spending $360’ish ant the retailer and not getting any extension of my membership.

I received a response from Whoop Support via email last night. I am going to return my retail-purchased Whoop MG as I would be paying full price and not get the benefit of the membership that was paid with the Whoop ($360). I was told that my current paid membership gets converted to Whoop Life, but I am not paying $360 just for the Whoop MG. Thanks
