I understand that ECG measurements require a medical-grade, wrist-specific band.
However, does the same restriction apply to Irregular Heart Rhythm Notifications (IHRN) that run in the background?
In other words: are IHRN supported and reliable when using a bicep/upper-arm band, or do they also require wrist placement?
Hi @Arno_Seidl , IHRN is intended for use on the wrist. While it is possible to receive a detection while wearing WHOOP on another part of the body, such as with WHOOP Body garments or the bicep band, the feature’s performance has only been validated on-wrist, so accuracy may be impacted in off-wrist locations.
