I ordered one back in September 2025(I’m an Elite 3 cyclist in Belgium) and I immediately ran into issues: HRV was inaccurate, heart rate spikes up to 200 bpm while I was literally washing my bike, etc.
Out of curiosity, I came back here to see if these problems had been fixed by now… and honestly, I’m shocked to see exactly the same issues still being reported.
I actually hesitated to buy one again, because I thought they might have solved it. The reason I even considered it is simple: I really like the app and the way the data is presented. But the core problem remains — the data itself isn’t reliable.
And as cyclists, data has to be correct. There’s no room for “almost accurate.” Especially when Whoop markets itself as providing the most accurate data on the market — the reality is far from that.
It’s extremely discouraging to read about the same problems all over again: HRV inaccuracies, incorrect heart rate readings, poor sleep tracking, random activities being detected when you’re not even training… It’s honestly a shame for a brand like this.
This is a product promoted by some of the top athletes in the world, and it really makes me wonder how much they’re getting paid — because I highly doubt they fully trust this data either, or that they’re not experiencing the same issues.
As an athlete, you need to be able to rely on your data. And unfortunately, that’s still not the case here.
