Whoop API - Write access

Hi Team,

I’m looking into creating my own integration between Hevy (workout tracking app) and Whoop as it seems there might not be a focus on creating these sorts of integrations for the team right now. Ideally when I complete the tracking of the workout in Hevy (or any other app), I can use the data to create a more detailed Workout activity in Whoop.

To my understanding the api is read-only as of right now, and there doesnt seem to be endpoints built out for the new Strength Trainer system and workouts in general.

I understand Whoop has the Strength Trainer system and it might be difficult to import data in a format that aligns with that system, but I think for most people, its easier to use the tracking apps we have used in the past either out of habit or for the features they provide. As someone who has the ability to create integrations for these systems, I feel like it would benefit alot of Whoop members who are looking for something like this.

Just curious if the API will be expanding to be able to create and modify data and if the Workout/Activity part of the API will be getting built out.

Thanks.

Hi @beckamwhite , thanks for reaching out! At this time, the best place to track what’s available (and what’s supported) for the WHOOP API is our official developer documentation and resources here:

While we can’t comment on future roadmap or timelines for expanding the API (including “write” capabilities or Strength Trainer–specific endpoints), we can confirm we regularly review member feedback like this and use it to guide improvements.

If you’d like to reply with a quick outline of what you’d want the integration to send (e.g., exercise list + sets/reps/weight, timestamps, rest times, etc.), and I’ll make sure that specific feedback is captured and sent to the right team.
