Whoop 5.0 often loses a bluetooth connection

I can second that. It is an improvement, but not 100% solved.

I’ve been having the same issue with the 5.0

If I use my Garmin Edge, WorkOutDoors app, etc. it disconnects and won’t reconnect. The 4.0 never did this. It’s a real PIMA to have to reboot / resync multiple times per day.

C’mon Whoop - you can do better.

In case this is useful, this is the pattern I’ve been doing whenever whoop says it’s more than 3 hours behind (usually when I have heart rate emission on). This works for me on iphone,

Go to bluetooth settings, and find your whoop, click forget. Now go to the whoop app and wait a few seconds, eventually, a dialog will pop up saying whoop would like to connect to your phone, accept? After clicking that, the whoop app catches up and all works as usual. Sometimes, the app needs to be killed to restart the pairing sequence, but most of the time it does it on it’s own.

This means you don’t have to go through the really inconsistent reboot/reset process. ( I can’t consistently get the tap the device many times to go into pairing to work)

@mcchang47 yes this is basically the same procedure I’ve described above for Android. That’s said, since this last firmware update I would say the problem has significantly gotten better. I now compared rarely have it happen now. If the last firmware update solve the problem, kind of a bummer that they didn’t find this in beta testing before they pushed out the 5.0. I’m still on the fence about just reactivating my 4.0 which disappeared seamlessly into my life…

I have Whoop 4 and I am having the same issue. It’s going on day 4 of disconnection issue. Thus, syncing is two- three days behind. Don’t know if sleep and workouts are even being saved.

This is appears to be GENERAL Whoop SOFTWARE ISSUE.

PLEASE COMMUNICATE AN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND UPDATE TIMELINE. OTHERWISE THERES NO NEED FOR ME TO USE THIS!

I have been having the exact same issue. I am using a 5.0 and an edge 840 computer. I have tried all of their recommended reset processes, the issue always returns. I have had it work without issue only once or twice recently, and never had the problem with the 4.0. They actually just replaced my 5.0 with a new one, and I’m still having the problem.

Maybe they solved it.

My training today, after the firmware update from yesterday, did not produce that problem anymore.

I had heartrate on my garmin, but the Whoop App did not loose connection to the sensor.

Will look closely the next days. Keep fingers crossed!:crossed_fingers:

The issue still there… Disconnecting all the time from my iPhone and also HR broadcasting is not working with my Garmin Edge 1050 unless I re-pair it…

The Whoop 5.0 disconnects so often it is getting annoying. I might just go back to the 4.0. The whole premise with you do not feel its there is getting away from it with the 5.0 because every 2 days I have to reconnect the stupid thing.

Is there any update as to when it will function the same as the Whoop 4.0 without the constant disconnecting?

Yes its up to date, yes the phone is up to date.

For me it is solved 100%

Actual Firmware, actual App on IOS

Sam issue here. It disconnects every day. It’s just too annoying. I may just switch back to 4

Any solution to this problem? I can’t use my whoop 5 without needing to reconnect it every morning. It’s just unusable. Wish I could simply get a refund at this point
