My MG works intermittently, but the data is WAY off from my normal readings. I’ve worn it a week and thought it would settle in but my daily strain won’t go above 6.0 and I’m normally averaging 14-15. Please send me a new one WHOOP otherwise I’m going to pivot to Aura and suspect others will to.
I ordered the Whoop MG Life. Day 1 was fine.
Day 2, nighttime–in the morning on Day 3 it said the whoop was not connected for 7 hours and the app told me i only slept 4 hours when i had slept 9!
I have to re-establish bluetooth connection..
Not happy with it and returning it for a refund

My MG keeps disconnecting overnight
This is the ONLY way I’ve found to reliably to get it reconnected:
- Put app into pairing mode.
- Remove MG and wait for 3 LEDs to go dark.
- Tap it, but only the GREEN side LED goes ON (NOT the BLUE as it should to indicate pairing mode).
- Go into BT device list on phone and delete the MG.
- Tap MG, still nothing.
- Mount battery and tap, NOW it’ll enter pairing mode
- Finally app will pair the MG.
- Immediately battery SOC indicates 93%, and device indicates 62% so not a battery charge level issue.
I NEVER had this issue with the 4.0 and giving WHOOP grace hoping for a firmware patch, but getting really annoyed
UK user here - 5.0MG arrived and is dead as a dodo! Battery pack fully charged. Zero lights active on the band. Raised a ticket but no response…. Not great experience for the cost of upgrade
The whoop mg won’t even connect for me, and a lot of people are having a lot of issues it seems like, seems like a lot of bugs with it.
Yeah I’m having the same issue in Australia. It seems once the charge of the Whoop dips below 80% ish, the device completely stops working and becomes unpairable, even tapping the device does not produce any lights. As soon as I put the charging pack on, the device starts working again, and the charge is at around 73% when it starts up. I have triple checked this to make sure. It usually dies while I’m sleeping, then when I wake up it will not connect with the app / pair with my phone until I put the charging pack on. Once the charging pack on it starts pairing, and starts charging from around 73%.
Whoop had 4 years to release a new device. As an ecommerce business owner it blows my mind that this was not caught during quality assurance testing. Makes Whoop look like an amateur company.
Same here. They replaced my whoop 5 which was working great so far due to potential syncing problems in the future. I got the replacement, switched to the different serial number and returned the first 5.0 I got (which was working fine at that point). Then, not even a day later, the lights turned off on the replacement on a supposedly full battery. Hasn’t turned on again since. I issued a report straight away but haven’t heard back in two weeks now. I’m currently using my bfs 4.0 which I gave to him when my 5.0 arrived. He doesn’t have a tracker now and we’re paying two memberships. I’m extremely annoyed at this point tbh. And no chance of reaching out to a real person either.
Got my Whoop 5.0 two days ago. Worked ok for a day, though frequently disconnected. Disconnected overnight and wont reconnect. I’ve gone through all of the recommended solutions, nothing works. Incredibly frustrating. No useful information on the Whoop website (or anywhere, really). Also, looks like they may have sent me a used one, as the underside of the sensor was scratched up out of the box, and there is gunk in the side channels. Incredibly disappointing considering the price.
