What to do with the sensor and bands after cancellation?

Hi! I have canceled my subscription since I decided to discontinue tracking my health data. My sensor is functional and I have three bands for it. What is the usual practice with getting rid of these? Selling? Gifting? Sending back to WHOOP?

Hi @mindshifter , thanks for reaching out! There’s no need to send your WHOOP back after canceling your membership. We don’t offer a buy-back or return program once a membership is canceled, so what you do with the sensor and bands is completely up to you.

Most members choose one of the following:

  • Gift the sensor and bands to someone else. The new owner would just need to start their own WHOOP membership to activate it.

  • Upcycle or recycle the device responsibly. We’ve put together guidance here with recommended options:

  • Keep the bands in case you decide to return to WHOOP in the future or want to reuse compatible accessories.
