Useless HR Data

I upgraded to the Whoop MG and for the past few months have noticed that specifically when running or trail running, my HR data is wildly incorrect. It’s seems to think I’m in zones 4 and 5 on easy long runs …. My garmin and Apple Watch don’t ever do this. For cycling and swimming ithe whoop works just fine, but as someone who puts 90% of their energy into running, it’s basically useless.

Essentially, all of the analysis it does will be incorrect …. Rest recommendations will be wrong etc. frankly, given what it costs …. I would expect more. And it doesn’t matter how tight the strap is or where it’s positioned … and I’m not flinging my arms around wildly either. Anybody else seeing this issue consistently?

Hi @mattcollis - Thanks for reaching out and I am sorry to hear about this discrepancy. I can appreciate that you’ve already done troubleshooting on fit and placement. If you are still experiencing this, our team at support@whoop.com has extra insight on the backend (for example, if light is getting into the sensor, or if there is a hardware malfunction occurring).
