"Upgrade" to 5.0 Life from 4.0, was a very bad choice

I have had 4.0 for 220 days and a happy customer, until I upgraded to 5.0 Life. The readings are way off, often it says Whoop are off body, but I had it on for days and all is good, battery, firmware etc. Also very different readings compared to the stable 4.0. In short, the 5.0 is not an upgrade, its a downgrade and I will ask to get my money back, and use my 4.0 instead. Also the quality of 5.0 feels a bit “cheap” and not solid and nice as my 4.0. It seems like the product development team was to busy getting 5.0 out there, instead of testing it and refining it, before pushing it to market. A shame and a bad customer experience :frowning:

I’m feeling the same tbh. More because of the way it now calculates readings and tells me time outdoors (for example) is having a negative impact.

New strap too, so the purchase I made a few months ago is wasted.

14 day battery life is nice, but the 4 wasn’t terrible. Feels like they’ve lost their way as I’m no longer trusting the information it provides. Worth also mentioning it’s inability to detect things like walks and HR acuracy.

I could go on but 5.0 is not progress.

If the app says the Whoop is not on your body, though it is, it helps just restarting the app

I agree! I have been with Whoop since 2019 with my teammates. The accuracy of the 5.0 in so many aspects have been so far off. My coach has tracked how far the data is off. I would have all out cycling efforts that would record a 4.0 for the total day! HRV stats are way off. Strain scores forget about it. It has caused so many of us to question WHOOP who was a leader in this space for so long. We pay more the the subscription and we get inaccurate data. Which is the whole reason we all purchase this device. I mean its funny they tell me to get a bicep band. i don’t want a bicep band. For someone that values all this info this is immensely disappointing. They sent me another one and this one works worse then the 1st 5.0 I received. So in the end I paid more money for a device that doesn’t work. I have sold and recommended so many for this company and now it’s just not working any longer. What made you guys special has been lost and it’s a shame. You guys were a game changer in cycling key word were. But forget the loyal customers. You are too worried about the new ones.

Agreed. Wish they would give me my money back. I subscribed for 2 years. But since MG it became inaccurate. Heart rate readings and many other things are off. And in turn is strain etc.

Paying a lot of money for an almost useless device. I’m frustrated. I don’t need steps or streak and such. I bought Whoop to enhance my performance. It became unreliable. A good sports watch is a better investment tbh
