Hello Community,
I use the Whoop MG and wear it day and night. I’m more than disappointed with the Whoop MG’s sleep tracking. Last night, my sleep was fragmented: from 11:52 PM to 3:34 AM, and then, after a period of wakefulness, from 5:35 AM to 6:40 AM. Unfortunately, the app doesn’t recognize these two main sleep phases together as nighttime sleep, but instead counts the second phase as a “nap” and subtracts it from my sleep requirement. As a result, the actual hours I slept and my sleep balance aren’t displayed correctly.
Furthermore, my calculated sleep requirement of over 9 hours seems unrealistically high to me as a working adult. It’s hardly possible in everyday life to schedule that much time for sleep, not even on weekends.
I want fragmented (but belonging to the same night) sleep to be correctly counted as total sleep time—just as other sleep trackers do.
For example, the Withings Sleep Analyzer accurately reflects sleep data even when sleep is fragmented. The Apple Watch also displays the total duration of fragmented sleep. Why can’t the Whoop MG do this? When I try to manually convert that nap into sleep, incorrect results are displayed as well. The duration of the sleep phase does not increase as a result.
I’d appreciate any help, as the Whoop MG’s usefulness for me remains severely limited.
Is this a firmware issue, or is there a workaround?
Thank you very much and best regards
Michael
