UI Bug - coach button blocks broadcast heart rate toggle

At some point in the last week, the Whoop coach button has been changed to act differently. It now appears on the device settings page (where coach really isn’t needed) and overlays the toggle to broadcast heart rate - see attached screenshot. This means the broadcast heart rate feature is completely unusable. I have no way to switch it on, meaning I can’t get my heart rate on my Garmin. This needs fixing ASAP as it’s key functionality.

I am an Android user.

Hey @cathwalls, thanks for flagging this.

We’re reporting this as a bug to the team right now so they can investigate what changed and get a fix moving.

In the meantime, a couple quick things to try:

Fully close the WHOOP app and reopen it

If that doesn’t work, delete the app and reinstall it from the Play Store

Reconnect your WHOOP after reinstalling and check Device Settings again

If it’s still blocking the toggle after that, hang tight. The team will need to address this on our end. Appreciate you calling it out so clearly.

Thanks for your help. Before deleting the app, I tried doing a Force Stop via Android’s Settings. This has resolved the issue without needing to reinstall from scratch.

Looks like that was a temporary solution - the problem is back.

Same here. Toggle is disabled too for some reason when not behind that view. Just got a new Whoop as a gift and this problem that was known since at least December still persists? Any updates?

This is on a fresh install from just a few days ago. Should I hassle with uninstalling, reinstalling and repairing my device in an attempt to circumvent this app bug?

This seems to be fixed for me, now, without needing any re-installs of the app.
