I came from 4 years with Oura. Their support wasn’t perfect, but they listened and fixed problems. Whoop has been the opposite.
I joined after hearing the founder on Rich Roll’s podcast and seeing all the cycling ads. Even added my wife to the family plan. Big mistake.
My HRV runs low (30–46). The Whoop data is full of random spikes that make it useless. I reported this on 8/11. Support gave me canned replies and no fix. I asked for a refund. Instead, I was told I’m locked in until July 2026.
So you pay for bad data and get trapped in a contract. The only option left is to dispute charges with my card.
I’m also very disappointed. To me Whoop is close to useless. I’m a long distance triathlete and the data I get are erroneous and therefore everything is unreliable.

Sorry you’re in that boat. I upgraded my device from W4 to W5 but not the subscription. The new whoop has become a joke now so it sits in a drawer awaiting the end of my current subscription in September.
They are sending me a new W5 which I’m sure will be equally buggy as others have noted. I spend 30yrs leading customer service focused teams. Most of that time NPS and CSAT were key metrics. What I knew to be true was your greatest promoters were close to being your biggest detractors if you fail them. Funny thing is they refuse to give $ back it seems after 30days so they have a bunch us of wearing something we trash when asked. Oh whoop how do like it? OH IT’S TERRIBLE ZERO CONCERN FROM THEM WITH ISSUES!
Same thing here. They sent a replacement device and the same issue persists. I emailed with customer support back and forth. Sent screenshots and explained the difference in heart rate between chest strap and Whoop. I was told multiple times to adjust sensor position on my bicep and/or wrist. As I predicted the replacement device has the same thing going on. Data is all over the place and makes all other metrics useless.
I was provided with 2 months free membership (which I don’t want but ok it’s nice). Now they closed my case and told me they are working on a fix. Seriously?
Whoop is useless to me and as you said now I’m stuck with a device that delievers inaccurate data. To my frustration I signed up for 2 years in advance. Totally worth it and super helpful for my Ironman training
