I’ve been using the Whoop device to track my sleep and fitness, but it automatically adjusts to my phone’s timezone, which is problematic as a frequent flyer. This leads to misleading data that doesn’t reflect my true performance.
It would be great if you could add an independent timezone setting in the app. That way, my metrics would be more accurate and meaningful, no matter where I am.
Thanks @sammyyau for the suggestion! I’ll pass this suggestion off to our product team. I also travel quite a bit between SF and Boston, and can understand this pain point.
Hi is there any update on this? Also traveling a lot and just went from ET to Europe and it did not log my arrival day as separate day, did not account for sleep debt although not sleeping at all.
Sleep consistency monitoring is to improve circadian rhythm. When travelling to different timezones for short stays (for example 3 days or less) I try to stay in my “home” circadian rhythm as much as possible - “lights out time” earlier or later compared to my “lights out time” at home (followed by the same hours of sleep), depending on the timezone I travelled to. It would be great to have a feature where Whoop detects a different timezone (or we input it manually) and members are asked if it’s a short trip and therefore want to keep “home” circadian rhythm or if it’s a long trip and want to adopt the new timezone fully as the new “home”. Those two different options should then be reflected in different recommended bed times in sleep planner.
