Agree it’s not ideal. But it’s not the end of the world, they’ll have it fixed in a week or two, I’m sure we can manage.
I think that most companies would rollback users to the prior release when this serious of a bug is discovered instead of waiting weeks for a subsequent release.
Maybe whoop development team should reevaluate their software release and rollback processes. Probably would be better also if they released updates in waves to users instead of all simultaneously.
Updated my whoop app via the app store and the bug is still there.
Also another bug is the strength coach completely disappearing after locking the phone and opening it again. Usually only happens if done during warmup but still scary and frustrating.
Alsoooo another bug: the heart rate freezes to a number during the session (not so important to me since it seems to catch up when saving but still should be fixed by now)
Didn’t see there was this thread already up. At this point, not being able to use the app for a few weeks. The month’s fee (calculated for those of us who pay yearly) should be refunded. We shouldn’t have to pay for an unusable app.
Also find it weird that the support team has to mention “we managed to get in touch with the product team”. Are you all not one and the same company? Or is the support team on this forum consumer volunteers?
It’s July 28th and no update in the App Store…![]()
I can confirm no update for me either. Having to complete yet another strength trainer out of order again ![]()
This is sadly so inconvenient as my strain calculations have been off depending on machine and free-weight availability and the only workout is to predict availability before initializing.
Would be great if the whoop team can confirm on this thread when the fix has been pushed out to the various app stores and what version it’s labeled as. I can see there’s a 5.12.1 in the Apple App Store, but since I didn’t download the original buggy update, I’m not updating whoop until someone gives the all clear on the ST function!
Still happening and it’s so frustrating - especially because every time I log in it’s advertising their new band… let’s stick with the active buyers that are p!ssed off…..
I’m beyond frustrated with the ongoing issues with the Strength Trainer feature. It’s been over a week since many of us (myself included) reported the bug forcing us to complete exercises in strict order—no supersets, no flexibility, and it’s throwing off my strain calculations completely. The team promised a fix today and there’s no update in the app store yet. This isn’t the first time. Past bugs like data saving issues, broken tabs, connection issues, battery draining (both on Whoop and devices), etc.. took weeks to resolve, and it feels like major features keep breaking at a company valued in the billions.
On top of that, we’re paying $200–$380/year for this service, and the delays make it hard to justify the cost. I love the Whoop concept, but the reliability is slipping. I’d really appreciate some transparency here.
It’s the 28th. No update. No bug fix.
Edit: A new update is out!
Edit 2: I’m prohibited from replying to the thread any further, but I can confirm the new update fixes the Strength Trainer bug!
Seeing reports that a new update (5.13.0) is out. Can anyone confirm it fixes the ST bug in iOS?
I just updated the app and it ST works for me again as it did before - able to do super sets/work out of order from the program. I even updated it mid-workout and didn’t have to restart my training session. Seamless update and ::hat tip:: to the Whoop dev/product teams for the update taking effect mid workout
And they just reintroduced the bug AGAIN.
(Edited to add: and they must have fixed it again! Whooooo!)
