Should I start workouts in Apple or Whoop?

Hi All, I no longer have an Apple Watch but do carry my iPhone when I run or cycle, should I start the activity on my Whoop App, or the Fitness App?

Thanks in advance.

Hey @abarnard_83,

If you no longer have an Apple Watch and carry your iPhone when running or cycling, you should start the activity directly in the WHOOP app on your iPhone. The WHOOP app supports GPS tracking for outdoor runs and cycling, and you can track key metrics like heart rate, distance, pace, and elapsed time through the app.

Make sure your WHOOP app is updated and that you enable GPS tracking when starting your activity in the WHOOP app for the most accurate data. The WHOOP app also integrates with Apple Health if you want to sync your workout data there.

So, for your runs or cycling sessions, start the activity in the WHOOP app on your iPhone rather than the Fitness app.

Thanks so much for the quick reply and the information.
This all makes sense. I’ll be sure sure to start any activity via Whoop.
