Hi community,
I wanted to raise a small concern about data sharing. Currently, WHOOP only writes heart rate info to health connect when it is linked to an activity.
Other apps, can therefore, not do anything with my heart rate and it makes it harder for me as an user to do some statistics with them. Other trackers are here more “liberal” and share this data. As WHOOP belongs to the most expensive trackers out there, It is a bit disappointing that WHOOP does not make this data more easily available.
I would strongly suggest to write heart rate to health connect, it comes at no risk for the company and would make whoop more integrated in the health ecosystem.
Thanks for considering and let’s discuss!
Image: At the moment, other apps (here: Withings) will e.g., report a awake average heart rate of 113 for the day, as only heart rate associated with activities are available.
