Hello I am a new whoop member and I just had a question. I just did several workouts so I did a running, rowing and then I also did strength training, but I ended each individual workout and I started a separate one on the app, like for running I started a running workout for functional fitness I did strength training and then for rowing I clicked rowing. My question is if I’m doing all those exercise exercises at once do I have to keep ending it or can I just keep it under functional fitness for running and for working out? Or am I doing it right with ending it and starting new ones. Since running and functional fitness are totally different things. Thank you.
Hey @Ivanov21,
Great question. You’re doing it exactly right by ending each workout and starting a new one for different activities like running, rowing, and strength training. Since each one puts stress on your body in a different way—cardio strain for running and rowing, muscular strain for strength training—WHOOP tracks them separately to give you the most accurate insights.
For strength training, the Strength Trainer feature lets you log sets, reps, and weights to measure your muscular load, while your running and rowing sessions focus on cardiovascular effort. Keeping them separate gives you a clearer picture of your total strain and recovery needs.
If you’d like, you can also use the Strength Trainer to log all your lifts in detail, while still keeping running and rowing as their own workouts.
Hello Liv, thank you so much for answering my question. And also for giving me some insight into the strength trainer. I have used it before, and I really love the feature, and I am going to continue using it based on my workouts. This is really helpful since I am also an athlete for hockey and Lacrosse, and we do different workouts at different times during the week, and also for gym lifts. I appreciate your help.
