PLEASE Import Steps from Apple Health

Whoop really needs the ability to READ steps data (and maybe other data) from Apple Health (and I’m assuming the android equivalent).

The new Healthspan feature is awesome - seeing that taking 10k steps per day could give me +2 years healthspan has motivated me to buy a walking pad for my standing desk and, bam now I hit 10k steps a day.

HOWEVER… none of these steps count in the Whoop app. because my arm is not swinging.

  • The Walking Pad knows how many steps I took.

  • Apple Health knows how many steps I took.

  • Every other app on my smart phone - including cheap crappy half-baked fitness apps made in someone’s garage - knows how many steps I took.

  • But Whoop doesn’t know how many steps I took.

The fix here would be incredibly simple: just let Whoop READ step data from Apple Health (not just write). Tons of apps already do it.

I know there are plenty of other remote workers and desk professionals Whoop targets. We make real lifestyle changes because of this platform. It’s a shame those changes aren’t even acknowledged by the app that inspired them.

Please implement this one simple change!!

Seconded! This is such a simple add and a key feature that is missing.

I use my walking pad daily, sometimes logging as many as 15k steps. This is essential information that should be logged into the Whoop data. Like andrewbley said above, my walking pad connects to Apple Health and gives it the steps taken. The transfer from Apple Health to Whoop should be easy enough. It already sees the Walking Activity, but it doesn’t take the steps from there. Heck, even an edit button on that activity so I can manually adjust the steps taken would be something.

Please Whoop! Easy fix here.
