First of all, I would like to thank you for creating such an outstanding product. WHOOP has become an essential part of my daily life, helping me better understand my recovery, sleep, strain, and overall health. The hardware, the app, and the analytics are among the best available on the market.
However, there is one major issue that has existed for years and continues to disappoint a large part of your international community: the WHOOP app still does not support the Russian language.
Russian is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, with more than 250 million speakers. Millions of people use Russian as their primary language not only in Russia, but also in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Georgia, Israel, Germany, the United States, Canada, and many other countries.
WHOOP is designed to help people make informed decisions about their health. The app contains complex information about recovery, HRV, strain, stress, sleep quality, and personalized recommendations. Understanding these insights correctly is incredibly important, and it becomes much easier when they are presented in a user’s native language.
I know that many members of the WHOOP community have already requested Russian language support over the past few years. Unfortunately, nothing has changed yet. New feature requests continue to be implemented, while one of the world’s largest languages is still missing from the app.
Adding Russian localization would:
- Improve accessibility for millions of current and future users.
- Help people better understand their health data and recommendations.
- Reduce the language barrier for new customers.
- Make WHOOP more competitive in international markets.
- Show that WHOOP values its entire global community, regardless of the language they speak.
Many potential customers choose other fitness platforms simply because they offer a localized interface. I truly believe that adding Russian would not only improve the experience for existing members but also help WHOOP reach a much larger audience.
Please consider making Russian language support a priority in one of your future updates. I sincerely hope the voices of your Russian-speaking community will finally be heard.
