One Month Trial Through Friend's Old Device

Hey, I got a one-month WHOOP trial through a friend who gave me his old device. I don’t wish to continue using WHOOP, so I don’t want to renew or start a membership. Can I just cancel my subscription? Also, do I need to return the device?

Hey @gabyclairotte,

Sorry to hear you won’t be continuing with WHOOP. If you have a one-month WHOOP trial and decide not to continue with a paid membership, you need to cancel your membership within the 30-day trial period through the WHOOP app. After canceling, you must return the WHOOP device (sensor and battery pack) along with the charger within 7 to 14 days using the return label provided in the app.

If you do not return the device and charger after canceling the trial, a restocking fee will apply ($110 total, split between sensor and battery pack fees). If no cancellation or return is made, your trial will automatically convert to a 12-month paid membership.

To summarize:

  • Cancel your trial membership in the WHOOP app within 30 days.

  • Return the device and charger using the prepaid return label.

  • Return must be mailed within 7 days of requesting the label.

  • Failure to return the device results in a restocking fee.

Sounds good. Thank you for your answer.

Where can I find and get the prepaid return label?

Thanks

For a trial return, the prepaid return label is provided via email after you initiate the return process through the WHOOP app or website. However, trial members are responsible for covering the cost of return shipping.

If you have not received the return label within 1-3 business days, please check the spam or junk folder in the email. If it’s still not found, you can reach out to support@whoop.com to provide the shipping address, email associated with the WHOOP account, and phone number to have the return label resent.

I haven’t cancelled my subscription yet, but It says that my account is not eligible for a return under our 30-day return policy. What does that mean ?

Ah got it. So if you are getting a message that your account is not eligible for a return under the 30-day return policy means that the window to return your WHOOP device or items has passed. WHOOP accepts returns only within 30 days of receipt for devices and within 30 days of delivery for unworn apparel and accessories. After this period, returns are not accepted, and refunds are not available.

I understand but can I still cancel my subscription and therefore not pay a membership that I don’t want?
