Hey @Basma96,
Few things could be happening here and I’ve listed some things to try to solve the issue.
WHOOP 5 automatically detects activities based on elevated heart rate, movement patterns, and strain levels. For an activity to be auto-detected, it generally requires a sustained, elevated heart rate for at least 15 minutes. If your 90-minute paddle game or other activities are not being detected, it could be due to the activity not meeting these criteria or activity auto-detection being turned off in your app settings.
To check or enable activity auto-detection:
On iOS: Go to More > App Settings > Activity Settings > Activity Detection and toggle it on.
On Android: Go to More > Activity Settings > Activity Detection and toggle it on.
If the activity still isn’t detected, you can manually add it in the WHOOP app by tapping the + icon, selecting Activity, entering the details, and saving it. This helps you track your activity and improves future auto-detection.
Also, ensure you are wearing your WHOOP properly—about 1 inch above your wrist bone, snug enough that you can’t easily fit a finger under the sensor—for the best accuracy.
