"Missing Logged Workout & Overlap Issue – Need Help!"

I’m running into an issue with my logged workouts. I did a Strength Trainer session today, but it’s not showing up in my Activity Log. When I try to manually log it, I get an error saying there’s already an overlapping activity. The problem is, the only activities visible in my log are my sleep and nap from earlier today.

This seems to be messing up my step count and calories burned totals for the day as well which are showing as lower than what they were before my workout. ( for example my steps went from 8000 to 1170 over the course of 2 hours.. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips on how to fix it? Appreciate any help!"

I had this issue before, try…

  • Force Close and Reopen the App: Sometimes, refreshing the app can help sync your data and resolve display issues.
  • Sync Your Device: Make sure your WHOOP device is fully synced with the app. You can do this by pulling down on the Home screen to refresh.
  • Update the App: Ensure you’re running the latest version of the WHOOP app, as updates often fix bugs and improve syncing.
  • Reboot Your Device: Restarting your phone can sometimes help resolve syncing and data display issues.

I have followed all of these steps and I’m still having my activity not show up and all it’s data is missing but when I try to manually add it I get an overlapping activity error.

Bump: Same is here. Any other suggestions?

I’m facing the same issue, also the strain of the workout isn’t registered and I can’t see it in today’s activities.

Okay, after some research, I went to whoop’s web app, and found the workout I did registered under tomorrow’s date for some reason. That is weird and ridiculous. For a product with that has a subscription plan, whoop have done an awful job with the software. No offense meant for the developers

How did this get resolved? I have the same issue. Very frustrating.

Any update gents

How its solved ??

Wrote to whoo, got the following response-

Here are a few quick checks that usually clear up the “overlapping activity” message and bring hidden sessions into view:

  1. Sync your strap and refresh the day
    • Open the WHOOP app, tap the device indicator (top-right) > Sync Now.
    • Once the sync finishes, force-close the app and reopen it.

  2. Look for a pending or unclassified entry
    • Go to the day in question on the Overview screen.
    • Scroll the timeline and tap any solid strain bar or “Unknown Activity.”
    • If you find one that matches the weight-lifting or cycling time, open it and re-classify (or delete it if it’s a duplicate).

  3. Manually log after clearing conflicts
    • If you still can’t see the workout, try adding it again.
    • Should the overlap warning appear, shorten the start or end time by a minute or two—if it saves, that confirms a hidden entry at the original time.

  4. Re-sync calories & steps
    • Once the missing activity is visible, WHOOP will automatically recalculate your calories and step count for that day after the next full sync.

Hope it helps
