My phone was damaged on a recent trip, but i kept my whoop charged and it was collecting data. There were approximately 7 days of unsyncched data on my whoop device (sept 28-Oct2). I just purchased a new phone, and upon logging into the app this morning, I saw the data began to catch-up from the last synch , but after a few min, it said it was all caught up but only showed the recent few minutes. The missing days never synched. I am positive my device was on and charged. Is there any way to recover this data/force a synch? I already tried repairing the device and restarting it.
Hey @oaniewiarowski,
It sounds like your WHOOP device has stored the data locally during the time it was disconnected from your phone, which is expected since WHOOP can store up to 14 days of unsynced data. Since you have already tried repairing and restarting the device, here are some additional steps to try to recover and force sync your missing data:
-
Keep the WHOOP app open and your device close to your phone for at least 30 seconds during syncing.
-
Make sure Bluetooth is enabled and your phone has a stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data).
-
Disable any power-saving modes or background app restrictions on your phone that might interfere with syncing.
-
Pull down on the overview screen of the WHOOP app to manually refresh the data.
-
Check for any firmware updates in the WHOOP app under Device Settings > Update Firmware.
-
Force close the WHOOP app and reopen it to restart syncing.
If the data still does not sync after these steps, it may be helpful to ensure your app and device firmware are fully up to date and that the strap fit is secure during wear.
