I’m very disappointed with the SportFlex band. While wing foiling on the Columbia River, the band came undone and my WHOOP 5.0 was lost. The clasp design feels almost spring-loaded — when it opens, it blasts apart instead of staying secure. For a premium product marketed for active use, I expected much more reliability.
Losing a $300+ sensor because of a $50 band design flaw is incredibly frustrating. At minimum, WHOOP should stand behind its product by replacing my 5.0 sensor and refunding the cost of the SportFlex band. I definitely do not want to replace this. Until then, I can’t recommend this band for anyone doing water or action sports.
