I am starting to wonder where Whoop is positioning itself. Yes being a general health device has it’s benefits because more participants. But to me the attraction to whoop was it was designed for more sports orientated people and the commercials with Ronaldo etc suggest that is what they were aiming for. But my 2 months on whoop suggest otherwise. When starting the Whoop app there should be what are you training for, what at your main sports, what are you trying to achieve. Yes the “My Plan” sort of suggests that whoop will align its metrics to what you have selected but does it? Personally, I think not. More steps, sleep etc than actual sports orientated training.
Is Whoop sports orientated device or just a step counter like fitbit!
What are we all thinking?

Yep I have the same thoughts. I bought Whoop to optimize my performance. Instead of giving me appropriate suggestions it says my step count is too low, I should focus on Whoop age etc.
When I signed up I chose “optimize performance” as a goal. I’m a long distance triathlete and a daily suggestion like an easy walk or Pilates is just not doing it. I also have the feeling that Whoop is heading towards a health and lifestyle device like FitBit etc. That’s totally ok but not what I was looking for.
In addition to it it’s too unreliable and erroneous with its data. Especially for multi sports athletes it’s not useful. Also the advertised big picture is missing. After several months of following advice and hard training nothing has changed. Instead it tells me to increase steps. Very questionable.

I can confirm all these issues. It’s a pain
