I’d really love to see WHOOP support importing external strength workouts (for example from the MacroFactor Workout App by Jeff Nippard) and use that data to calculate Muscular Load / Strength Strain.
Right now the situation is:
- I track my lifting sessions in MacroFactor.
- If I want WHOOP to correctly calculate the strain from strength training, I have to rebuild the entire workout in Strength Trainer (exercises, sets, reps, weights).
- For me, double logging is not an option long term – it’s simply too time‑consuming and annoying to enter the same workout twice.
On top of that, compared to dedicated strength apps, Strength Trainer currently feels:
- super buggy and hard to navigate, and
- missing a lot of functionality that apps like MacroFactor already have.
I really like WHOOP for sleep, recovery, strain, and health insights, but for strength training I want to keep using a specialized app like MacroFactor – and would love WHOOP to read those workouts instead of forcing us to log everything twice. The Strength Trainer really is a pita.
What I’d like to see:
- Ability to import external strength workouts (e.g. from MacroFactor) including exercises, sets, reps, and load.
- WHOOP should then use this data to calculate Muscular Load / Strength Strain correctly, without needing to recreate the workout inside Strength Trainer.
If you’d also benefit from this, please send a quick note to support@whoop.com or submit an in‑app feature request mentioning “external strength workout import (MacroFactor etc.)” – the more people ask for it, the higher the chance it gets prioritized. ![]()
