I extended my membership before the trial ended - and was clearly told I’d get a free WHOOP 5.0 with no extra cost. But I didn’t receive the upgrade or any confirmation email.
This is really disappointing, and I’m seeing more and more people reporting the same issue.
I opened a case with WHOOP support yesterday - no response yet. I’m planning to give them one more day, and then I’ll start a formal dispute with my bank to get a refund.
Let’s see if they resolve it fairly.
Hi! I was in the same situation. However, I asked the AI coach what to do, and it said I could upgrade through the app. I was able to purchase the WHOOP 5.0 through the App, where there were two options: one with a $239 upgrade fee (supposedly this would add another year to your membership) and another with a $0 upgrade fee. I did the $0 upgrade fee option and just had to pay the shipping cost.
I was starting to get a little frustrated, and I wish they made that clearer, because they made it sound like the upgrade would be automatic with no work on our end.

Yes, they eventually agreed to process mine too - but only after I insisted and showed them screenshots of their original promise. I didn’t feel comfortable placing another order or paying shipping without a clear confirmation.

I love the device, but I really hope they improve the clarity and support. I’ve got clients who were waiting on my experience before subscribing - and for now, I’m recommending they wait a bit.
