I want to add my girlfriend to my WHOOP plan… where do I start?
You can add an existing WHOOP member to your Family Plan by going to Menu > My Account > Membership & Billing, then following the prompts to switch to a Family Plan or add a new member.
Everyone on the plan has to be on the same tier—so if the person you’re adding is on a different one, their remaining membership time will be converted to match.
If you’re joining a WHOOP Life Family Plan, we recommend upgrading to WHOOP Life first to get your new WHOOP MG device. If you’re added to the plan before upgrading, reach out to Support and we’ll get your MG device sent out for a one-time $79 hardware fee.
I am having same issue. I purchased a family membership and 2 bands. I’ve set mine up however. I am unable to add my wife. When she tries to sign up, it asks her to purchase a membership. How do I add her? as the intructions dont make any sense.
If you purchased a new family plan and were sent the WHOOP devices then in order to activate your family plan all you should need to do is pair one of the devices and complete setting up the account that you created when you purchased the family plan. It sounds like you may have already done this step which is great. Once you have completed setting up the account that purchased the family plan, then the other person on your family plan just needs to create an account and pair the other device that was sent. That should automatically add the second person to the family plan.

I recently purchased a WHOOP 5.0 Peak membership with the Family Plan option, but I am unable to add any family members.
The app shows the “Manage Family Membership” button, but when I tap it, it redirects me to the general membership upgrade page instead of showing the Family Plan invite options.
But there is no option anywhere to add or invite family members.
On the Whoop app, I go to my account screen, but there’s nothing “clickable” under Membership. It just says “Membership” and then the dividing line for the next section.
So… How do I do a family plan?
Did someone else found the solution, I’m not able to add the 2nd user that I already paid for?
Hey everyone! Even though the second Family Plan seat is already paid for, it doesn’t activate automatically. The Family Plan admin just needs to send an invite so the second user can join.
Here’s how to add them:

Open the WHOOP app

Go to More > My Account > Family Plan

Tap Add Member
-
Enter the second user’s email address and send the invite
If the second user is new to WHOOP, they’ll need to accept the invite and finish setting up their account. If they already have a WHOOP account, they’ll just need to accept the invite while logged in.
Once that’s done, they’ll be fully added to your Family Plan. If you are still having issues, please reach out to our team at support@whoop.com and they can assist further!
im having the same issue, when following the prompts it says that they should have an account already free trial etc, and then they can be added to the family plan
