@Durkin @noooor During the zoom meeting you promised to address the outlier HRV readings by either ignoring from the calculation or allowing for them to be deleted. As we discussed I sometimes have a mild case of irregular HR, I am working with My doctor to keep it under control but occasionally I will have a flair up. When this happens I have unrealistic HRV increase. Please see chart. The days of the increase whoop gives me 100% recovery and the days/weeks after a poor recovery because the increase has distorted my average. I am now doomed to a few weeks of poor recovery. I have waited patiently for this to be addressed as promised, what is the status of this issue? Very frustrating!
Hi @AlanGooner ! I’ve reached out for an update/more information regarding ignoring outliers from calculations and/or allowing outliers to be deleted. I will let you know what the team says!
Thank you! But please can you stress the importance of this. I will be on a poor recovery for some weeks now until these two values drop off.
@noooor 5 days of not so great recovery, yet my HRV is around the same and in normal range except for the two spikes. Waiting not so patiently now ![]()
Hi @AlanGooner – At this time, individual nights can’t yet be excluded from HRV baseline calculations.
We know this isn’t ideal for members who experience intermittent rhythm irregularities, and while I don’t have a timeline or confirmed update to share, the importance has been shared with the team.
This has been reported since last summer, why is it taking so long to address? It’s not just the Rhythm Irregularities. Using a percentage is not great when users have naturally low HRV. Mine runs around 20 (I am very fit) but if it moves a just few points it will trigger a good or poor recovery for me. Someone in the 70+ range is not affected by a few points change. It’s very frustrating when in Health monitor I am with in range and green but recovery says I dropped 12% so a poor recovery. ![]()
It’s an interesting that Bevel Health, Sonar Health, Garmin have worked out a way not to penalize me like Whoop does.
@noooor I am going on 10 days with poor recovery. My average is still 32 when my range is 22 to 28 (Green in Health Monitor). Today I am at 26 which is in range but compared to my inflated average I am down 19%. This is really frustrating and the silence from support is deafening ![]()
@noooor Even coach(AI) agrees that the outliers are a problem. It claims to have sent a support ticket. Maybe now you will address it but since I reported it 8 months ago I’m not holding out any hope.
I have had enough. I feel so let down. I guess you’ll be happy to see the back of me.
