Hello @torey22
Any news on how you plan to handle these outlier spikes. I have had it happen 3 times. I dropped one spike and my recovery started to look better then yesterday I got another one and I am back to poor recovery until they drop off. There must be a better way than a simple average. Oura and Garmin do seem to have days when I am higher than normal. Not as extreme as the whoop spikes but when they happen it doesn’t affect my recovery anywhere like Whoop does. Yesterday’s recovery was 98% and on my ride I felt quite bad, Today it’s 28 and I felt great.
Please advise how you are planning on handling this, not heard back from you.
Hello @torey22
I have just noticed something. Whilst these spikes affect my average HRV and consequently have a big affect on my recovery, my health monitor shows in my normal range. Why are there two ranges and why can’t you use the health monitor HRV calculation for recovery?
Whoop seems to record a much lower HRV. Last night Whoop was 18, Oura 31 (gaps so ring moved), Garmin 45 and Helio 46. Liking what Helio is reporting so far. Good HR and HRV,
Whoop always seems to under report and since there is no chart for 1 day it’s hard to see why. Well under report aside the giant spikes. Looking at the other apps which show some highs, I wonder how high my HRV must have been to average out at 160 ![]()
Garmin
Oura - has gaps which means my ring moved a bit.
Helio -interesting I have some pretty big Highs but average was 46.
