I just got the WOOP Life with the 1 year membership. I am uncomfortable with auto-renewals. I want to remove my auto-renewal and decide for myself if I want to renew. When I attempt to cancel to “use my remaining membership” it tells me “Cancelling your WHOOP membership disables the ability to upload new data to your strap.”
I want to still use it, I want it to work exactly as I paid for it for the whole year but not charge my card again after a year. How do I set that up?
Nevermind, after completing my cancel it explains that I will remain full access until the end of my plan. This is exactly what I wanted from the beginning. I find it disturbing that the cancelation is hidden behind a significant survey, deceptive wording to scare people off of canceling, and a forced auto-renewal to begin with. A company that is confident in the service they are offering doesn’t need to trick their customers to not cancel/non-autorenewal. If you are not confident in your offering, why would you expect your customers to be? This is giving me pause, as my year is pre-paid I will use it for the year but based on this process I will move on to something with more transparent practices next year.
