How to shutdown Whoop 5.0?

I have paused my membership.

How to shutdown the sensor, so the battery will not drain completely, as i could imagine, its not good for the battery chemistry?

The WHOOP sensor does not have a specific shutdown feature to turn off the sensor completely. To help preserve battery life and prevent it from draining completely, you can:

  • Reboot the device via the WHOOP app (Device Settings > Advanced > Reboot Device) to resolve temporary software issues that may affect battery life.

  • Ensure the sensor fits properly to avoid frequent wear detection failures that consume more power.

  • Avoid exposing the sensor to extreme temperatures.

  • Keep the firmware updated for optimal battery performance.

  • Avoid continuous use of features like HR Broadcast that increase power consumption.

If you are not using the sensor for an extended period, it’s best to keep it charged above 20% to maintain battery health. Double-tap the sensor to check battery level via LED or view it in the WHOOP app.
