WHOOP says the temperature is increased by 1.2 degrees. It is not quite clear to me which reference value is referred to. The normal range is between 32.2 and 33 degrees for me. Since 33.6 degrees were measured today, I am actually only 0.6 degrees outside the reference range. Or is it compared to the day before
? That would even fit, since I had a temperature of 32.4 degrees the day before.
You understandably said that your skin temperature is only 0.6°C above the baseline range, but it looks like WHOOP uses the lower value of the range (a rolling 30 day average) to determine the daily variance.
In your case, the baseline range is 32.2°C - 33.0°C, therefore your +1.2°C “orange” variance would be triggered at 33.4°C, and you reached this value with a skin temperature of 33.6°C. Perhaps any value in this range is always labelled as “> +1,2°C” even though the difference is 1.4°C?
Comparing your data with mine, the lower value of my baseline is 33.1°C, and you can see that the orange range starts at 1.2°C above this, which is consistent with what you have also seen.
Hopefully this helps, but I’d also be interested to know if this theory is correct
