I currently have the WHOOP 4.0 and I’m on a monthly payment plan.
I’ve recently seen the new the WHOOP MG which offer medical-grade features like ECG and AFib detection.
I would like to upgrade my current membership and device to WHOOP MG, but I couldn’t find the option to do so on the website or in the app.
Could you please guide me on how to upgrade

Hey @erdo_x2025, Excited to hear you want to upgrade to MG!
You can upgrade from WHOOP 4.0 to WHOOP Life (which includes the Medical Grade device) by either extending your membership by 12 or 24 months or by paying a one-time upgrade fee of $79. This upgrade can be done directly through the WHOOP app by going to the More tab > My Account > Membership and Billing, then selecting your preferred upgrade method.
Key points:
Trial members must convert by purchasing a 12-month extension; the one-time upgrade fee is not available during trials.
If you upgrade to WHOOP Life, you will receive the Medical Grade hardware required for the advanced features.
You keep your WHOOP 4.0 device and can choose to keep it or upcycle it to a friend or family member.
WHOOP 4.0 accessories are not compatible with WHOOP Life devices.
Family plan upgrades must be done by the family admin for all members.
If you want to upgrade, just follow the steps in the app to select WHOOP Life and choose your upgrade option.
