Got charged 5 times when signing up for a subscription

Hi!

First time Whoop user and set up my account today. Followed the prompts on the app which mentioned a one month free trial and annual fee thereafter - all in accordance.

However after I entered my cc number, I was not only charged immediately (instead of a month later) but was charged 5 times! I checked my email and it said I had extended my subscription which I most certainly did not. The membership section in my profile also shows the 5 transactions but funny enough shows my next charge will be Feb 2029. Nothing adds up!
