Normally I slide a few fingers up my arm. Today I forgot to do so and HR was ridiculously high. Now my strain and recovery will be messed up. It must be my skinny cycling wrists but it’s getting annoying to remember to move. I wish we were allowed to import HR from Garmin to fix the issue.
This is so annoying. Nevertheless we need different heart rate zones for running cycling and swimming. Paying a lot of money for inaccurate data. I wear it on the bicep but still it’s not satisfying. And now with blood pressure being removed I really begin to doubt if Whoop is the right thing for me. Things added like steps or streak are not important to me. I’m a triathlete and had high expectations into this device but slowly it begins to fade sadly.
This is exactly the reason I’ve given up on Whoop after 30 days. I tried a few days the latest FW to see if any improvement, spoiler : nothing new.
I was really excited to have a nice looking device to wear along my mechanical watches.
Now my Garmin F8 is back on my wrist 24/7 and provides me with actual insights.
Really a bummer we can’t import Garmin activities into Whoop (directly not using the lousy Apple Health export).
This happened to me last week during a long weekend ride. Totally throwing off my strain metric and ultimately, recovery score the next morning. The need to support an external HR monitor can’t be stressed enough. At the very least, allow for HR data to override Whoops value when a workout was recorded with Garmin, in my case.
