Hi WHOOP team,
I’d love better support for long awakenings during the night (e.g., baby care).
This is my personal example:
- In bed ~22:00
- Awake 00:14–03:09 (my kid is in a lovely 4-month sleep regression)
- Back asleep until ~08:00
Right now WHOOP splits this into a “Sleep” and a “Nap,” instead of one sleep with a long wake period.
This:
- Misrepresents my actual night (looks like two sleeps instead of one fragmented one).
- Skews Sleep Performance, Sleep Consistency, and Sleep Planner coaching, as it is only based on the “sleep” block and not the nap.
- Is very common for young parents, etc.
Feature ideas:
- Let us edit a sleep to include a long wake block inside one session.
- Or allow us to merge a later “nap” back into the main sleep as one night with a wake gap.
This would make WHOOP much more accurate and helpful for anyone with clear fragmented nights with clear wake blocks.
Thanks for considering it,
Erik
