I find the coach to be useful for summarizing day-to-day recovery and strain. However, it’s really not that useful for a longer term goal or event. It has no memory from one day to the next. I think it would be great if the coach could respond to a specific event or goal over time and have it smartly get you there (e.g. training for a triathlon in a month). The day-to-day recommendations don’t make sense a lot of the time leading up to an event, when you are doing more block training, such as purposefully overloading for a few days or doing a taper for an event. The coach would be a lot more useful if it could help you look ahead and take this kind of schedule or goal into account.

That’s a great idea. Hope it will come
Hi @mbuntaine, thanks for the note! This is a great idea indeed!
If you have two minutes, give this video a watch: TikTok - Make Your Day
You’ll see/hear around minute 1 the following from our CEO, Will Ahmed: “Next up: AI Coaching. We’re doing a lot to improve the WHOOP Coach in the app that will also encompass memory and personalization, so anything you tell WHOOP, WHOOP is going to remember and then use as it helps you build plans and understand what to do in the WHOOP app.”
I’m excited for this feature as well!
Thanks for writing in. ![]()
