Feature Request: Manually Correct Nighttime Wake Periods

WHOOP should allow users to manually correct periods of wakefulness that occur in the middle of a sleep session.

For example, WHOOP may detect that I slept from 23:30 to 07:30 and report only 20 minutes of wake time during the night.

However, in reality I may have been completely awake from 03:00 to 04:15.

Currently, there should be a way to tell WHOOP:

“I was awake during this specific period.”

The user should be able to open the sleep timeline and add or adjust a wake period, for example:

03:00 → 04:15 — Awake

WHOOP could then recalculate:

  • total sleep duration;

  • sleep efficiency;

  • sleep performance;

  • sleep need/debt;

  • sleep stages or other derived metrics where appropriate.

This is important because a long period of conscious wakefulness in the middle of the night can make the reported sleep duration and sleep efficiency substantially inaccurate.

The sensor data is not always able to distinguish quiet wakefulness from sleep, so giving the user a way to correct obvious errors would make the sleep analysis much more trustworthy.

Ideally, this correction should be treated separately from changing the overall sleep start/end time.
