Feature Request: A Much Better Strength Training Experience

I’d love to see WHOOP invest more into strength training functionality and make it more similar to dedicated apps like Hevy.

WHOOP is already great at tracking the physiological impact of a workout, but the actual strength-training experience still feels quite basic.

One thing that especially annoys me is that I currently have to start and stop WHOOP for every single set. When you’re doing a normal gym workout with 15–25 sets, this becomes really tedious and distracting.

Instead, I’d love to see something like:

  • :person_lifting_weights: Select a strength workout and simply start it once
  • :stopwatch: WHOOP automatically detects individual sets and rest periods
  • :clipboard: Track exercises, sets, reps and weight
  • :1234: Automatically recognize repetitions where possible
  • :chart_increasing: Track total training volume
  • :flexed_biceps: Track volume by muscle group
  • :bar_chart: Show progression for individual exercises
  • :stopwatch: Rest-time tracking between sets
  • :trophy: Personal records and progression over time
  • :date: A proper history of strength workouts

Ideally, WHOOP could combine this with the data it already does so well:

Exercise → Sets/Reps/Weight → Training Volume → Strain → Recovery → Long-term Progress

The goal shouldn’t be to turn WHOOP into a full replacement for every dedicated gym app, but the current experience feels like it could be much more seamless and intelligent.

Especially for strength training, I want to focus on my workout — not constantly interacting with my phone or starting/stopping individual sets.

A Hevy-like strength training experience combined with WHOOP’s Recovery and Strain analytics would be incredibly powerful. :flexed_biceps:
