Does it matter where exactly to place the Whoop?

I’m having trouble holding the band in place, the device shifts when I move my hand. Could this distort the results?

And what do you recommend to keep the band fixed?

Hey @Alfonsooo94, thanks for taking the time to write in on this.

To keep your WHOOP band securely in place and avoid shifting that could distort results, here are some recommendations:

  • Wear the band one finger-width above your wrist bone with the sensor on top of the wrist.

  • Adjust the band so it is snug enough to slightly resist sliding a finger underneath but not so tight that it restricts circulation.

  • If the band feels loose or slips, try re-threading the band so the end is hidden underneath the body of the band.

  • Check the FastLink Slider and band for any signs of wear or looseness. If the slider or clasp is not holding securely, cycling the clasp 10-20 times and wiping it down can help.

  • For smaller wrists, you can try moving the sensor further up the forearm for a snug fit.

  • If you continue to have trouble, inspecting the band for damage or considering a different band style designed for a more secure fit might help.

Proper fit is important for accurate data collection, especially for heart rate and strain metrics.
